Room 305a is Studio A, our main air studio. This is where
our DJ's and engineers work from 6am to 2am every day. We use Sony CDP-241 CD players, Tascam MK-102 cassette decks,
Technics 1200 turntables, Sony JE-510 minidisc players, a
Dynamax mix board and a mix of Shure SM-7 and AudiaTechnica
AT-805 microphones. We also have a separate Gemini 2-channel mixer dedicated for the turntables and an Otari MX-5050
reel to reel coupled to a Gentner SPH-10 phone hybrid.
Power is supplied by Folgers Coffee and Mountain Dew.
This Studio A is a marked improvement over our old studios
(click the "under construction" link below), with better
soundproofing, more room, and climate-control to protect
the equipment (and the operators!)
Studio A, as seen from the corner opposite the door.
